I guess I am a bit traditional in my wrestling likes. Of course by traditional I mean 2 out of 3 fall matches, 3 rounds, 2 falls, 2 submission or a knock out to decide the winner...

British style wrestling rules!

You are a moderate wrestling traditionalist. You reject the idea of sports-entertainment but you believe that charisma still has a part to play in character development. However you also know that wrestling ability must always take priority.

Bored, Gacked from just about everyone on the planet [Aug. 2nd, 2007|04:51 pm]

Your Score: Huffledor

You scored 50% Order/Chaos, and 58% Moral/Rational

Morality with an orderly/chaotic split. You've got a fixed idea of morality, you know that for sure, but your view on regulations waffles. Rules are rules, but you're also able to see when it's really more of a guideline. Your strengths arise from your balanced view of order that allows you to carefully choose strategies for furthering your causes; your weakness is the fact that, given the success your strengths are likely to give you, you may not be receptive to the idea that you are not absolutely in the right.

The 4-grid I used to determine this is as follows:

Chaotic Orderly
Moral Gryffindor Hufflepuff
Rational Slytherin Ravenclaw

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about self than concerned about others, more atheist than religious, more loner than dependent, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more engineering mind than artistic mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are romantic (86%), intellectual (73%), horny (64%).

Stereotypes
Prep85%
Punk Rock73%
Old Geezer50%

Life Experience
Sex42%
Substances8%
Travel25%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Liberal, whom you agree with around 50% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Middle Class. You make more than 0% of those who have taken this test, and 49% more than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.

How do I know if SHE really loves me? [Feb. 14th, 2007|07:40 pm]
[mood | loved]

Damn its been a long time since I wrote an entry.

As some people may remember at the end of 2005 I was diagnosed with renal failure. 2006 was totally taking up with issues surrounding that. Issues that I got bored with, never mind posting them to bore the LJ world!

During that time, Sharon (my then girlfriend) went through loads of tests to investigate whether she was compatable to give me a kidney.

Finally at the end of November we got the go ahead and the transplant operation was scheduled for 5 January. On the provision that I was infection free for at least 6 weeks before the op...

All went well until 30 December (6 DAYS before the op) when I was diagnosed with peritonitus. (spelling). Ooops.

But the transplant docs said, as I was overwise healthy (at least as healthy as someone with Peritonitus (spelling) can be) they would still go ahead with the op if I was completely free of the infection by the 3rd (the day I was due into the transplant hospital).

At 9pm New Years Eve I had an operation to remove my dialysis tubing.

On 2 January I was finally given the all clear!

On 3rd I was transferred to the Transplant hospital.

On the 5th I received Sharons kidney in an op that lasted 9 hours in total (4 for Sharon, 5 for me!).

I was due to stay in hospital for 2 weeks after the op. But after 6 days I was marching about the unit and pissing Sharon off by climbing the stairs about 20 times faster than she did. We had to climb 50 stairs each as our flat has approximately that number to climb to reach it.

I was therefore allowed home the same day Sharon was. On the understanding I would return daily for blood tests.

And thats when the problems started. I have to drink 5 litres a day until the new kidney settles in. The hospital is a 4 hour round trip, plus however long I have to wait for the doctor to take the blood, plus 2 hours for the results. Thats 6 hours at least.

After 5 days of this I ended up back in hospital with dehydration. Another 4 day stay.

Since coming out again things have stablised. I have only had to go to the hospital twice a week, much better. Then last Thursday they cut me down to once a week. Yeah!

I'm due back to work in the middle of March.

And as for Sharon, my ex-girlfriend....

She's now my fiancee. I proposed yesterday, our 5th anniversary together. Funny how everyday for 2 months she'd been asking when she would get a rock on her finger in return for the kidney, yet she was still totally shocked when I asked.

Well technically I didn't ask. I gave her an 'Congrtulations on your Engagement' card, instead of a 'Happy Anniversay' card. Took a few seconds for the penny to drop!

So to answer my question 'How do I know if SHE really loves me?' Easy is she willing to give you a major organ. I don't understand why some people seem to have trouble with relationships ;)

Why net neutrality is a good thing... [May. 16th, 2006|11:44 pm]
So members of the US congress think that bringing in a bill to do away with net neutrality is a good thing. Basically this means, among other things that search engines will be able to steer you towards sites they want you to visit, to the extent of not listing other sites.

All I have to say about that is... KHAN! KHAN! KHAN!

Ignorant f*&%!!! [Apr. 3rd, 2006|12:03 pm]
'London 'too risky' for US school band

A US high school marching band has been banned from taking part in a London festival - because it's too dangerous.

Education officials in Florida feared the 140-member band from Fort Myers High School might be caught in a terrorist attack.

The band had to turn down an invitation to take part in London's 2007 New Year's Day parade after their school chiefs ruled they would be "safer in America".

One angry pupil, Ethan Lapham, said: "It's more probable to be struck by lightning or be murdered in your sleep, than to fall prey to an attack by al-Qaeda terrorists.

"There is no better time to show these terrorists that we have no fear of them. Instead we are forced, through the cowardly acts of our superiors, to hide in shame."

But Herb Wiseman, high school consultant for Lee County, Florida, pointed to the July 7 London bombings.

"What happens if kids get on a train that blows up? We don't have trains blowing up in America," he told the Fort Myers News-Press.

Organisers of the London parade, who have invited groups from all over the world, offered to fly offficials to England to put their minds at rest, but they refused.

Bob Bone, the parade's executive director, said: "Here is an educator that seems to delight in the knowledge that he is ignorant of the facts. London is not a city under siege."'

About damn time [Mar. 5th, 2006|09:40 pm]
[mood | sick]

Wow its been over a month since I update this properly. Lets see...

At the start of February I attended Access Clinic. This was to se if they could fit the tube into my stomach that will allow me to dialyse at home. The answer was yes, and they would fix my hernia whilst they were in there...

Huh?

They could fix my hernia whilst they were in there...

Er... what hernia?

Still no idea as they doctor was out the door before I could find out. I was given a provisional date for my op as 'By the end of February...'

I phoned on Tuesday this week to ask when exactly they thought the end of February was to be told... 'We thought you were on holiday...'

Yeah, right. Someones whose just been diagnosed with end stage renal failure, and has to be hocked to a machine 3 times a week, is going to rush away.

Next up was the meeting with the transplant co-ordinator. A long meeting explaining the ins and outs of transplants. If anyones interested leave a comment and I'll make that the topic of my next entry.

Sharon also attended this session, to fond out how to be a live donor. We where both sent off to find out our blood groups and we match O+. First stage of 250 down.

I was supposed to attend the Transplant clinic this week, but I never got the appointment letter. The following day the co-ordinator phoned me to find out what happened. New appointment booked 25 April! Nothing like the speedy NHS!

Third trip this month was to have an echocardiagram. An ultrasound scan of my heart. Was not particularly looking forward to this. I've documented before my funny heart beat. And on recent experiance I was not expecting good news. Well actually the news was good and bad.

Good news: I have a heart! (Hey the way things have been recently I was happy to hear that!) The doctor pretty much ignored my funny heart beat. (which was what had me sent to see him in the first place) He said it was a regular funny beat, so he could not see any reason to treat it.

Bad news: Most people have 3 cusps to their heart valve. I have only two. Still he said it didn't seem to be effecting me in anyway (Sharon and I were early so we'd been for a walk down, then up a huge steep hill. Half hour later Sharon was still getting her breathe back! I was fine, one of the symptoms is shortness of breathe). So they are not going to do anything about it. Yeah!

Other than that not much to report. They have put my time on the machine up. Not sure why all my blood tests have been normal, but they think I'm not dialysing enough? Its funny in my job its the end result that matters. How you arrive there doesn't matter. In the health world its like the end result is not important, its the process before it.

Ok boring health stuff done with. I return you to your fun friends list...

Kermit D Frog here.... [Mar. 3rd, 2006|11:31 pm]
[mood | sick]

Kermit the Frog
You scored 56% Organization, 50% abstract, and 71% extroverted!
This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are mostly organized, both concrete and abstract, and more extroverted.

Here is why are you Kermit the Frog.

You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Kermit is also reasonably tidy. He'll even dress up for interviews.

You both are sometimes concrete and sometimes abstract thinkers. Kermit spends a lot of his time as a reporter collecting facts, but he is also the author of the dreamy song "The Rainbow Connection." You have a good balance in your life. You know when to be logical at times, but you also aren't afraid to explore your dreams and desires... within limits of course.

You are both extroverts. Kermit gets along with everyone. Sure a few folks annoy him, but that's just because they are annoying. Kermit likes to meet new people when he does his job as a street reporter. You definitely enjoy the company of others, and you don't have problems meeting new people... in fact you probably look forward to it. You are willing to take charge when necessary or work as part of a team.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Kermit starred on Sesame Street years before The Muppet Show.

The other possible characters are

Oscar the Grouch

Big Bird

Snuffleupagus

Ernie

Elmo

Cookie Monster

Grover

The Count

Guy Smiley

Bert

If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also if you want to tell me your favorite Sesame Street character, I can total them up and post them here. Perhaps your choice will win!
